Dear Jesus... ♡

Sometimes you just need somebody to talk to.

Dear Jesus,

So... apparently growing up is supposed to be exciting.

Nobody mentioned the part where everything starts changing at the same time.

We moved from Chicago to Denver. I have a new school, new friends, family stuff, boy stuff, and about a million questions nobody seems to answer the same way twice.

And then there are the questions about You.

I don’t know if I’m supposed to ask all the things I want to ask.

But I’m going to anyway.

It’s me, Ebony. ♡

About the Book

Ebony Reed’s world is changing fast.

A move from Chicago to Denver means a new home, a new school, new friendships, and a whole new set of challenges.

As Ebony navigates friendship drama, boys, her changing body, colorism, an absent father, family, faith, race, and the pressure to fit in, she turns to the one person she believes is always listening: Jesus.

Her prayers aren’t perfect.
They’re honest.
And sometimes messy.

Faith doesn’t mean never having questions. ♡
